Managing director at Peters McKeown, Tricia Peters, became a financial adviser to use her expertise to make a difference to people’s lives.
Because she saw that women suffered significant disadvantage in terms of securing their financial futures, she wanted to create an advice business that was uniquely tailored to women’s needs. Her life experience and past achievements gave her the courage to take on this new challenge, so she created a business that specialised in working with people during and after divorce as a time when clients felt most vulnerable and would need the best advice, plus a safe zone to make the right decisions.
Tricia is a Certified Financial Planner™ with over 15 years’ experience. She has spoken at international conferences, lectured students in financial planning in Australia and Asia, and is co-author of Australia’s first financial planning textbook. She also has a Masters of Business.

Julia Newbould

Julia is an accomplished finance writer, speaker and author, with a strong connection to and interest in the performing arts and fashion.
She is is a former Managing Editor of Money magazine and co-authored The Joy of Money, which won Best Personal Finance and Investment book at the Australian Business Book Awards in 2020. She was a founder of the Stella Network, which was launched in 2013 by BT Financial Group to encourage and champion women in financial services.
An experienced conference host and public speaker, Julia has appeared on the Today Show talking about money. She is a regular theatre reviewer for Theatre Now.
She is a senior communications manager at the FAAA and prior to that she was managing editor at Conexus Financial curating content for events for superannuation chief investment officers, financial advisers and licensees. Julia is currently co-writing a second book in the Joy of Money series.
